“With a successful career at the Harrods Design Studio and stints at Candy & Candy (she worked on the prestigious One Hyde Park development), Helen Green and Allegra Hicks behind her, interior designer Sara Cosgrove is a force to be reckoned with – and even more so now that she’s going it alone.

Utilising her flawless experience and innate sense of style (she started by wanting to work in fashion), Sara has recently established her own eponymous luxury design consultancy. And thankfully so.

The County Mayo-native is known for her “timeless interiors that embody functional yet luxurious design” which makes validates her “eclectic but simple” personal home style. “I grew up with my parents collecting antiques and art”, the designer says, “and I now follow in their footsteps.” In keeping with this love of art and the need to highlight it appropriately, Sara claims that a room is not complete without beautiful decorative lighting which she says “can create so many atmospheric possibilities for a room.”

When asked for her top design tips she advises “measure before you buy, invest in your bed and and do not be afraid of colour or imperfection”. We can’t wait to see what the Sara Cosgrove brand will bring.” –  LUXDECO
