The SCS team have put together some of our absolute musts when it comes to Christmas styling, so if you’re looking to make some last minute changes or additions – take a look at our tips below to get you inspired!

The Entrance Hall

When it comes to the entrance hall at Christmas time, you want it to be impactful and inviting. This can be done with garlands, fresh will always give an extra punch of that gorgeous smell of pine that we associate with this time of year. A scented Christmas candle is always good as an entrance hall element as it welcomes people and creates a seasonal vibe.

The Dining Table

For your dining area, you can great really creative. Using fresh foliage can really bring the space to life and create a truly one of kind place for you and your few guests to indulge in the Christmas feast. We find many Christmas tree sellers are happy to give you the cuttings from trees, so be sure to take advantage of this for your table and pair some fresh foliage with some other elements such as cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, pink peppercorns and tea lights to create a stylish and living table at which to enjoy the festivities.

Lighting

Lighting is crucial when trying to create that warm and inviting atmosphere around the festive season, especially with the cold weather you want to make a real effort to create a haven when you walk in the door of your home. Some simple ways to do this would be adding fairy lights to your garland along the banister, a festive candle or two on the coffee table, a candelabra on the mantle piece with red candlesticks and if you’re one of the lucky ones, a roaring open fire to beside to relax after your day.
