Sara Cosgrove Studio is a premium multidisciplinary interior design and interior architectural practice. We work on a range of hospitality, high end residential developments and one off private residence projects. We also have a sister company, Grove & Co, that specialises in multi unit residential developments and fit out.
We have a fluid house style and love to integrate the old and new in our spaces. We pride ourselves in curating layered interiors that have a freshness and vibrancy to them. We source our materials finishes and furnishings from a select range of trusted suppliers, and take full responsibility for every installation we run.
We like our designs to uplift and engage, with every project we create spaces for the client which makes them feel good and create serenity in their lives. We pride ourselves in the integrity of our dealings with suppliers and clients, providing creative solutions, and a tailored approach to our projects, simply put Design That Elevates.
Originally from County Mayo, Sara attended Trinity College Dublin then moved to London to study at KLC School of Design. Upon graduation she worked at a number of top design houses including Helen Green Design and Candy & Candy. Sara was then appointed Head of Design at the world famous department store Harrods London. During these years she specialised in high end residential, retail and development projects. Delivering several award winning show apartments, creating residential material packages, marketing suites, consulting on residential development master planning and working on private residential projects across the globe.
In 2014 she set up her own design business, and shortly after joined forces with Starwood Capital/Principal Hayley group on the launch of an exciting new hospitality brand as Design Director of The Principal Hotel Company. Whilst at Principal she oversaw the creative direction and design of The Intercontinental Hotel Edinburgh George Street , The Principal York, Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Manchester and The Kimpton Fitzroy London (rooms, public spaces, bars, restaurants and events). Sara and her team are currently working on a wide range of projects, including luxury residential private commissions, multi unit developments and luxury hospitality.
Sara is a recognised industry commentator and lecturer with regular contributions to The Gloss, The Irish Times, Decorex, Index Dubai, The Luxury Briefing & Sleep. She has often contributed to the ‘ask the expert’ column in The Sunday Times Ireland. Sara also sits on the KLC School of Design Alumni Board. Sara has recently been announced as a Judge for 2022 on RTE 1’s popular property show Home of the Year.

Emily's design highlights are pulling together schemes while working with a vast array of fabrics and picking out lighting features
Fun Fact: Emily loves to travel and is always planning her next trip away!
Inga's design favourites are working with fabrics to put schemes together, designing bespoke furniture and styling every corner down to the smallest detail
Fun Fact: Inga loves the outdoors, especially walking her dog Snoops
Ruth's favourite elements to design are designing bespoke lighting, sourcing natural materials and delving into the small details that make all the difference
Fun Fact: Ruth is vegan and the ultimate foodie
Marjorie loves combing the new and the old through design, by respecting the traditional and embracing the future she helps create wonderful bespoke interior spaces.
Fun Fact: Marjorie is a proud dog mom to her Bichon Frise named Lemon!
Pri's role gives her the opportunity to be creative and explore new ways of designing interiors. She has a particular interest in furniture design and is growing her knowledge of all things fabric at the moment.
Fun Fact: Pri loves to cook and is always eager to try out new cuisines!
Leah has been working in design for 10 years starting her career in London before returning home to Ireland. Leah is passionate about creating spaces that not only look beautiful but also make people feel truly at home whilst maximising a spaces true potential.
Fun Fact: Leah loves to read and has a particular penchant for coffee table books!
Felipe's design techinque includes using a strong blend of materials that compliment eachother and using colour tones/lighting to create spaces that reflect their purpose.
Fun Fact: Felipe loves basketball, if he isn't watching it you'll find him playing it in a park somewhere!
Orla works alongside the whole team and is on hand for any scenarios that might pop up, she loves seeing our projects build from the very start and come to life after a truly collaborative design process.
Fun Fact: Orla has a growing interest in gardening, weather permitting of course!
Karla works closely across our exciting Grove & Co projects with a special interest in lighting and how to best use it to elevate a space.
Fun Fact: Karla loves nothing more than spending a day out with her camera!
Siofra has a lot of experience in fabrics and loves incorporating a variety of colour and texture into her design work.
Fun Fact: Siofra loves to unwind by practicing yoga at the end of a busy day!
