Throughout my career I have worked on both hotels and private residential projects. One of the most interesting and recurring themes when we are taking the brief is that hoteliers want their spaces to feel like home and home owners want their spaces to feel like the ultimate hotel retreat. In this space we created a Parisian style suite with metallic painted grass cloth paper inset into the paneling, sculptural headboard and bouclé covered curved couch. We also introduced vintage Italian side tables @1stdibs, plaster finished table lamps @portaromanauk with velvet lamp shades and subtle but statement drapes with a stylish @scalamandre leading edge trim.

My first ever overseas job as a designer was to style a villa in Portugal. It was a beautiful home with unbelievable detailing and finishes. Super elegant yet very comfortable. In this house there was a beauty room and it was something totally different. It’s the ultimate luxury and indulgence, but having a space like this where one can relax and unwind is a pure dream!

Wardrobes can be both functional and fun, designed correctly they can add rather than overwhelm a space. This run has inset linen panels overlaid with a trellis style overlay, styled with antique brass pulls. ⁠
