About Robert
Robert O’Byrne is a writer and lecturer specialising in the fine and decorative arts in Ireland, and the author of several books, among them Luggala: The Story of a Guinness House, Romantic Irish Homes and The Irish Aesthete: Ruins of Ireland. Most recently he has edited and written the foreword for a book of Fr Frank Browne’s photographs of County Wicklow, and this year expects to publish a book of Fr Browne’s photographs of Irish country houses, as well as contributing several chapters in a book on Ireland’s finest neo-classical house, Townley Hall, County Louth.
