Sara Cosgrove Studio is a premium multidisciplinary interior design and interior architectural practice.
We have a transitional refined house style focusing on quality and detail. Sara's passion is for integrating the old and new in our projects. We source our materials, finishes and furnishings from a select range of trusted suppliers, and take full responsibility for every installation we run.
We work on a range of 4star plus hospitality, high end residential developments and full scale private residential design projects. We like our designs to uplift and engage. We pride ourselves in the integrity of our dealings with suppliers and clients, providing creative solutions, and a tailored approach to our projects, simply put Design That Elevates.
We also have a sister company, Grove & Co, that specialises in multi unit residential development interior design, hospitality procurement, rental unit and PRS fit out.
Originally from County Mayo, Sara attended Trinity College Dublin then moved to London to study at KLC School of Design.
Upon graduation she worked at a number of top design houses including Helen Green Design and Candy & Candy. Sara was then appointed Head of Design at the world famous department store Harrods London. During these years she specialised in high end residential, retail and development projects. Delivering several award winning show apartments, creating residential material packages, marketing suites, consulting on residential development master planning and working on private residential projects across the globe.
In 2014 she set up her own design business, and shortly after joined forces with Starwood Capital/Principal Hayley group on the launch of an exciting new hospitality brand as Design Director of The Principal Hotel Company. Whilst at Principal she oversaw the creative direction and design of The Intercontinental Hotel Edinburgh George Street , The Principal York, Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel Manchester and The Kimpton Fitzroy London (rooms, public spaces, bars, restaurants and events). Sara and her team are currently working on a wide range of projects, including luxury residential private commissions, multi unit developments and luxury hospitality.
Sara is a recognised industry commentator and lecturer with regular contributions to The Gloss, The Irish Times, Decorex, Index Dubai, The Luxury Briefing & Sleep. She has often contributed to the ‘ask the expert’ column in The Sunday Times Ireland. Sara also sits on the KLC School of Design Alumni Board. Sara has recently been announced as a Judge for 2022 on RTE 1’s popular property show Home of the Year.
