When it comes to transformations the conversion of the Royal York Bar into The Refectory Kitchen and Terrace is one of my favourites! The space itself had good bones and beautiful light, but it suffered from air handling issues, drab decor and the smell of chlorine. Our task was to take the bones and create a whole new environment, creating an indoor outdoor space that could work from dawn to dusk and beyond! Here are a few before and after shots to give you an idea of what we created with 3D Reid as Architects, and Michaelis Boyd as Interior Architects…
